RM of Lacadena’s story
The Rural Municipality of Lacadena No. 228 was incorporated as a rural municipality on December 12, 1910. It lies in southwestern Saskatchewan, and its office is in the town of Kyle, which is surrounded by the RM.
Besides Kyle, the municipality takes in the organized hamlet of White Bear and a number of localities: High Point, Lacadena, Matador, Mondou, Saltburn, Sanctuary, Tuberose and Tyner.
Visitors come to the area for Clearwater Lake Regional Park and Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park, and for White Bear's World's Biggest Polar Bear. Highways 4, 342 and 647 run through the RM, along with the Canadian National Railway and Big Sky Rail lines, and Kyle has its own airport.
